When I began to put together the October 2021 horoscope, there were a few things that stood out for me. First, most of the planets – Uranus (as ever) being the exception – are hanging out in the top half of the chart, in the signs between Libra and Pisces. Without getting too technical when I look at the background to the month, I begin by working on an ‘Aries = 0’ basis. So, this month, the planets fall in the Southern Hemisphere, houses 7-12. This makes this month’s emphasis seem rather impersonal, as if we could be at the mercy of outside events.
However, whatever those events are, things will seem a lot more personal for all of you according to your own sign – and as usual, you can read the October 2021 horoscope for either your Sun sign, or your Rising sign – or both. And there are a few things to deal with this month, as a lot of planets are still in retrograde motion at the outset. However, as the month progresses, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn will all turn direct.
With that in mind, I found that I also couldn’t take my eyes off the Full Moon in Aries, coming up on October 20th. Aries is a up front and personal as you can get and the aspects to this particular full Moon are, let’s say, feisty. October 2021 Horoscope: Aries
For Aries people, the big Libra emphasis this month lights up your relationships and one way or another – things will be passionate. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that your credit card payments will take care of themselves.

For you Taurus, the October 2021 horoscope suggests a month where all seems well with your world – at least in the beginning. Early in the month the New Moon is giving you an enviable level of common sense – and this month you may need it. Work is likely to be demanding so you need to ensure that your lifestyle is both manageable and productive. What you need to ensure is that your work-life balance works in your favour, and with this month’s astrological focus being in your fellow Venus-ruled sign of Libra, this should be something that falls into place for you a lot more easily than you thought it would.
The Full Moon later in the month may remind you of the importance of getting the basics right. If you don’t take action early, things that seemed like small problems could become big ones that force you to completely revise your understanding of a particular situation. There is also the risk that something becomes bigger than you can handle, so take care that you don’t let things get out of control – you may end up in a place where you don’t want to be.

The October 2021 horoscope for Gemini suggests that this is a creative month for you. Gemini is never short of ideas and this month you may take brain-storming to a new level. Cancer is the home loving sign and your October 2021 horoscope has your home in its sights – and so have you. This is the month when you’ll be looking closely at the corners you’ve ben ignoring for too long – if you want to devise an action plan to revamp your bedroom, kitchen, garden or the whole thing – now is the time. Mercury retrograde gives you a keen eye for detail and Mars fills you with energy. The only risk is you become too impatient and choose some decor you’re going to hate at a later date.
That may be more of a risk than you think, as you may want your life to be more beautiful in many ways this month. Better to be inspired by your own good taste that attempt to turn your lounge into a copy of that beach bar you discovered on holiday… Regardless of how it turns out, big change and big decisions are going to be the order of the day for you Cancer – and though you’ll want to forge ahead with your plans, it may pay you to get a second opinion before you do.
The Full Moon at the end of the month may bring things to a head as you discover that not everyone is as keen on your proposals as you are. Your partner may resist your plans and – even worse – bring their own to the table. There could be a real battle of wills when it comes to who wields the power in the relationship. At the end of the day, you have the chance to be magnanimous rather than moody. Try not to take the moral high ground – no matter how tempting.
October 2021 Horoscope: Leo
The October 2021 horoscope suggests that for you Leo, this is the month of mental action. You may have a lot of things buzzing around your head right now, and one issue in particular may be taking a lot of thinking through. That’s a process that may be more difficult than you would like it to be and the result of that may be making you rather more touchy than usual. Cross words could occur if people approach you the wrong way, or tell you things you don’t want to hear.
