The December 2023 horoscope means we are coming to the end of another year – and what a year it has been. I’m now preparing my big horoscope forecast for 2024, so I looked back at my big horoscope for 2023 to see what I thought December 2023 had in store. The big astrological events of this month are the Mercury retrograde in Capricorn that begins on December 13th and sends Mercury back into Sagittarius until mid-January 2024. I’ll be posting on that one soon – but it’s screaming ‘unfinished business’ at a deafening volume.
And Mars is moving through Sagittarius at the same time. Mars and Mercury retrograde come together just in time for the Christmas holiday – expect some vigorous debates over the Christmas dinner table. I hope against hope, that this combination doesn’t leave a bad taste in the mouth; family get togethers can trigger words that would be better left unsaid. On that note, I hope you all have a fun festive season – and prepare yourself for the big astrological shifts in 2024…
December 2023 Horoscope: Aries
There is a pile-up of planets in your fellow fire sign, Sagittarius – and this will have an impact on you by the middle of the month. Your ruler, Mars has already made the party season an active one – you can’t seem to get enough of whatever is on offer. Excess appears to be the order of the day – and it’s possible that you may have something major to celebrate in addition to the usual festive cheer. However, you may also have some serious thinking to do about your career direction – so don’t celebrate too soon. December 2023 Horoscope: Taurus
As the end of 2023 approaches, it signifies the end of a particular chapter of your life. Your energy is directed towards leaving the past behind and exploring new things. People, places and experiences that would usually be alien to you may occupy your mind – and they do so for a reason: you need to expand your life and make the most of your opportunities. The problem is, you don’t feel ready to do so – yet. The combination of the New Moon and Mercury retrograde mid-month is going to bring that home to you. As the month progresses, there may be some mental stress as you get your head around that.
Fortunately, your relationships are in the best place. There is a lot of love for you this month as Venus, your ruling planet, is sitting in your house of love. You and your partner may exchange some expensive gifts, as Venus can be a spendthrift. If you’re concerned about cashflow, go for romantic and meaningful gifts instead. As the month draws to a close, you’ll find some mental clarity, as the ideas you’ve been mulling over start to take shape. And when Venus changes sign just before the new year, you may start to look forward to the changes ahead, especially as a little financial luck may occur around this time.

There is a lot of action in your relationship house this month – and some of it may be the ‘wrong’ kind of action , as tension and stress may prevail. Many of us experience stress at this time of year – but this may be over and above normal. Sometimes you need to get life organised – and there is no time like the present. It’s possible that you’re planning for the festive season, but it’s more likely that you’re getting life into shape for the longer term. The new Moon and Mars may initiate that process in the middle of the month. If you wee planning a new exercise regime in 2024, why not bring it forward a few weeks? Better still, encourage your partner to join you on the treadmill – it may ensure you enter – and leave the party season in the best possible shape.
On a more serious note, you and your partner may be discussing how you can improve your relationship, or make your life together more efficient. If daily responsibilities have been getting out of hand, now is the time to review the way you handle the mundane side of life. It’s not the most exciting thing to think about at this time of year, but get it right and it will save you time, effort and money. That last consideration will be a major one as the year ends; festive fun costs money and being more efficient with your cash may be a key concern going into 2024.

There is a lot of fun and pleasure starred in your December 2023 horoscope. As one of the playful signs of the zodiac, that’s good news for you, but it comes with a warning. Even you need to be aware of burning the candle at both ends – and that’s a real risk over the festive season. This month, your home base is a busy place to be. You may feel as though there are things you have to do, rather than things you want to do. Your family will have have rallied around to help you and you’ll be having a much better time than you though possible only a short time ago. Some family or domestic issues may remain a concern – or at least the subject of debate. Jupiter in your home sector is going to be bringing some changes during 2024 – it will be best for you to be in control of the process, as you need certainty – rather than confusion – to assist you in moving forward from where you are now.
December 2023 Horoscope: Pisces
It’s about your career this month Pisces, as Mars and the new Moon trigger your ambition and fire it to new heights. Positively, you can make the right moves and go far this month – but there may be some irritation that forces the issue. You may become the team leader, but don’t tread on too many toes in order to get there, or your elevation may not be well received. It’s also possible that you will feel annoyed at career developments because you’ve been overlooked for a leading role. Entitlement is never a good thing, but if you feel the rewards will be greater elsewhere, you had better be prepared to take the risk.
And you could be correct. As Venus changes sign at the end of the month, you could be in for a pay rise or a pat on the back. However you have played it, your strategy will have paid dividends. So, no surprises that you’re going to feel great as the year ends. As a Pisces you may have confidence issues, but this time, your confidence in who you are – and what you can d0 – is at an all time high. This is the serious grown-up Pisces that we’ve been waiting for and, with Saturn now resident in your sign, you had better get used to the idea.
