I’ve been looking forward to writing the May 2025 horoscope, as May is my favorite month of the year. As expected, I started work on this month’s forecast on a warm, sunny day – and it reminded that we are in the beautiful month of Taurus – and Taurus is a calm and steady sign. Life settles down under the influence of Taurus, so is that energy going to influence the events in your life this month? You would think so, but with Uranus is still in that sign, there is still scope for a few upsets. Don’t assume everything is working out fine just yet.
So far the year has been tense, as we’ve labored under the influence of Mars opposite Pluto. That influence eases this month, as Mars continues direct in Leo. If you were diverted from your path a few months ago, it may be time to pick up from where you left off. However, you may discover that things look different this time around. Venus conjuncts Neptune in Aries as the month begins; wherever that falls in your chart, you’re going to be confused about what you really want. For all that Taurus vibe, May is not as steady as we would like it to be…
May 2025 Horoscope: Aries
It may be the Taurus month but there is a lot of activity in your sign and that calls for a fresh start. And that means a fresh start for you, personally. If the past few months have left you frustrated, you’ll be pleased to lean that forward motion has returned, so feel free to start any changes that will alter your approach to life for the better. Being fired up comes easily to you, but there is something you need to be aware of before you take action: are you sure you know how to show yourself in the best possible way?
The way you see yourself may not be the same as the way you are perceived by other people, and that may cause issues for you this month. The good news is that your ruler, Mars is now moving forwards in equally fiery Leo. As ever, there is good and bad to contend with, so here is the upside: you may be charming, fun and persuasive this month – especially where romance is concerned. You’re prepared to take romantic and creative risks, but the downside is you may not know (or want to know) what you’re getting into. Taurus, this is your time, so why are you so uncertain about life? The answer lies in your subconscious, as you may find it difficult to keep track of ideas, conversations, money, love and more this month. This may be a confusing time for you – and by the end of the month when Saturn enters Aries, you may have cause to doubt your own sanity. My advice is, don’t worry. You’re going through some major changes – especially mid-month – so it’s natural to feel unsettled. You’re a practical soul, so use this month’s influences in a practical way – perhaps by doing some physical work or d-i-y and you’ll be fine.
Your energy is best directed towards your home and family – and it’s a great time to work on some projects that have been long overlooked. Your challenge may be working out what is going to produce the best result – keep your actions in line with your values and you will go a long way towards achieving that aim. If all goes well, the new moon at the end of the month sows the seeds of future security and steady growth – especially in a financial sense. There is a new moon in your sign this month – but it’s at the end of May, so you have a few weeks to go before your personal renewal takes place. In that time, you will have a few loose ends to tie together – and they will need to be tied by the time of the full moon in Scorpio mid-month. You may be wondering which parts of your life have unraveled, and the answer to that question is most likely found in the bunch of planets presently casting shade in your house of hopes and wishes. Your future financial position may be of concern to you now.
The full moon mid-month is an important one for you, as it gives you the chance to get your life back in working order. For some of you that will involve health or lifestyle issues, for others, dealing with work or job issues will be your concern. However the astrology works out for you, you’ll be prompted to think about how you want your future to unfold. When Saturn joins the party (via a sign change) at the end of the month, thing will get real; you alone are responsible for your life direction, so use this time to work out which way to go. The full moon in Scorpio mid-month suggests you may have to take a few risks if you want to feel fulfilled and grow in confidence. You’re an introverted sign, so that may not sound like something you want to do, but there may be financial benefits to selling yourself – in the nicest possible way. Venus and Mars are well positioned for advancement and financial reward – but you need to be prepared to go for it, as they won’t come to you.
May 2025 Horoscope: Leo
If you thought your holiday was safely booked, think again. You are a sun worshiper and your summer vacation means a lot to you. You have high expectations for your ideal dream getaway – but you may be in two minds about the destination that you’ve already booked. Maybe it’s those less than perfect ‘Tripadvisor’ reviews, but you may be forced to change your plans – even if you were previously happy with your holiday arrangements. Fortunately, Venus and Mars combine forces mid-month, so you are likely to benefit from any changes that you make.
Mid-month also sees a full moon in Scorpio and it suggests something comes to a head in the home and family sector of your chart. Scorpio can be difficult, so there may be an issue you’ve been trying to avoid, and you can avoid it no longer. However, if something unpleasant has been hanging over you, the situation may reach a conclusion or be resolved. Whatever happens, it will be the end of the matter. At the end of the month, Saturn changes signs and there is a new moon in Gemini. It’s a combination that will make you think seriously about your future.
May 2025 Horoscope: Virgo
Virgo is a sensible earth sign. You’re a grounded soul, yet as this month begins, you find yourself in a state of indecision. You’re thinking of making some radical changes to your life, you want to make those changes – but you don’t yet know what they are. Sound familiar? Only one thing is certain: the past needs to be left behind. The past may include relationships, ideas, plans that didn’t work out. Letting go is written all over this month – it’s what you need to do to make space for something new in your life. Letting go may be the first step to take.
Fortunately, the full moon in Scorpio mid-month is helpful to you. Ideas, plans and proposals seem to come together – and you may get good news or reach out to others who can help you reach your new goals. However, there seems to be an element of secrecy to this: Venus and Mars combine to help you to get what you want, but you may have to work behind the scenes. Whatever you’re doing, you’re not yet ready to announce it to the world. By the end of the month, Saturn makes those changes certain; decisions become final and the new moon in Gemini suggests the major change in your life may be career related.
May 2025 Horoscope: Libra
You were born to relate, but as the month begins, your relationships seem to be going nowhere. That applies to all kinds of partnerships and encounters – and also your relationship with yourself. There is also the possibility of a legal entanglement this month, but all matters are shrouded in mystery and uncertainty. The astrology of this month may bring a lack of judgment. These are influences that could cost you money, and they could affect your primary relationship too, as all of this could come at you via your partner – business or personal. More than ever, you need to know exactly what is going on.
The financial side of life is also emphasized by the full moon in Scorpio mid-month. Whether it’s a question of cash, preferences or values, something comes to a head. It may be that you have a financial decision to make, or you need to make a decision that impacts on your finances. Either way, you need to resolve the matter now. By the end of the month, Saturn moves into Aries and that will make your relationships feel much more secure – if a little predictable. By the end of the month, you will know what hard work feels like, as Saturn enters your job zone. Saturn works well here, and the new moon in Gemini at the end of the month also sets you on a transformational path. It’s time to change – and it’s time to make a difference.
May 2025 Horoscope: Sagittarius
There is a lot of fun for you this month – and yours is the sign that really knows how to have fun. getting away from it all is well-starred; pleasure, relaxation and clearing your head may be just what you need. Unsurprisingly, long distance travel is also likely to be part of the mix. Venus and Mars show there’s fun to be had, perhaps on an overseas road trip, but you may have to take care with your navigation: the full moon in Scorpio shines its light on the most transcendent part of your chart. That’s astrological code for confusion, and it’s also code for escapism: relax, but please keep your eyes on the road.
By the end of the month, the opportunity for fun may be more limited, but there may be a particular interest that you start to take more seriously. That may be a hobby or even a love interest – and the signs are that the latter is particularly well-starred. The full moon falls in Gemini in your partnership sector at the end of the month, and you may start thinking seriously about one person in particular. May 2025 Horoscope: Capricorn
Home is your best place as the month begins, though you may see it as an escape from the rough and tumble of the outside world. It’s not like you to hide away, but you need some peace and quiet at the start of May, and whether your home and family provide the healing space, or whether you find it elsewhere, you need to be centered at a spiritual level. Why is that? Maybe you need to be healed in a real sense, or maybe you just need a time-out. Either way, getting in touch with what you need at a deep level is the place to start for you.
Mid-month, Venus and Mars will help you in this process by giving you the courage to let go of things you no longer need. As a practical earth sign, this may be literally what happens; it’s a good time to clear up and clear out, and give yourself some space for the things you truly value. The full moon – also mid-month – is in Scorpio, so everything. that needs to go will go – and there will be no looking back. By the end of the month, your ruler Saturn changes signs; your home and heart will decluttered and you will be ready to make some improvements – aided by a helpful new moon.
May 2025 Horoscope: Aquarius
if there’s a time for wishful thinking, it’s this month. Some of you will be prone to dreams and fantasies as the month begins, others will be inspired by music and fruits of the imagination. If you’re the creative type, you may even put pen to paper, brush to canvas or brush up on your musical talent. What is a certainty, is that you’re going to find it hard to concentrate on anything that doesn’t appeal to you. This is not a hardworking influence – and if you have work to do, you’re likely to be easily distracted. That’s not good if words matter: hearing what you want to hear may be an issue this month.
Venus and Mars team up mid-month in an easy aspect, and that makes it easy to reach agreements with your partner and enjoy some positive, quality time together. It may be your partner who takes the lead in this and you may be persuaded by their arguments – one way or another. This may come with a price tag; be careful that you aren’t asked to part with more than you an afford. At the end of the month, Saturn changes sign and that puts a limit on your daydreams. It marks a return to some serious thinking, however, the new moon seeds a period of good cheer. You will certainly ride the highs and lows this month.
May 2025 Horoscope: Pisces
There are Pisces people who let money flow through their fingers. There are also Pisces souls who sense how to make a fortune. Which one are you? Probably both. This month your financial feelers may need to be be extra sensitive, as you may have to guard against letting your cash disappear into thin air. You literally may not know where your money has gone – though most of us get that feeling from time to time. This time around it may be more serious and the relationship between Venus and Mars suggests you may have to work harder this month – or even take an extra job.
That may sound bleak but you generally have all the luck, and it’s possible you may be offered more work – or more enjoyable work than you have now. This month, it’s about making things work for you and getting the most from life, but making wise choices may not be easy. It’s easy to be lured by the prospect of easy money – though the full moon in Scorpio suggests that there really is a one-off opportunity coming your way. The end of the month promises either financial stability – or limitation – but this may be related to extra demands from your home, family or domestic situation.
